Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of www.adensalt.com and any related landing pages (the “Site”), and any quote request, pickup or delivery of bulk de-icing salt you arrange with Aden Mining & Materials Inc., doing business as Aden Salt Company (“Aden Salt Company,” “Aden,” “we,” “us” or “our”). By using the Site or submitting a request, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Use of the Site
You agree to provide accurate and complete information, to use the Site only for lawful purposes, and not to interfere with the Site’s operation or security. You must be at least 18 years old, and authorized to act for your business if you are requesting on its behalf, to request a price or place an order.
2. Quotes and pricing
Prices shown or sent in response to a request are estimates and are not binding until we confirm your order in writing (including by email or text). Prices, availability, delivery fees and fuel or seasonal surcharges may change before confirmation. Applicable sales tax is added unless you provide a valid tax-exemption certificate before invoicing. If you enroll in our Season Price Commitment, your price is governed by Section 3 below.
3. Season Price Commitment (“Commit with us”)
You can enroll for the full winter season and lock in today’s price so it does not go up later in the season. When you enroll, we confirm in writing (including by email or text) your committed product, estimated seasonal quantity, price per ton, pickup or delivery locations, and the season dates covered (the “Commitment”).
- Price lock. The price per ton in your Commitment applies to every load of the committed product you pick up or we deliver during the season it covers, even if our posted prices increase.
- Quantity. The locked price applies up to the estimated seasonal quantity in your Commitment. Additional tons are supplied at the locked price when available, or at our then-current price, as confirmed when ordered.
- Supply. We plan our inventory around committed customers. Deliveries remain subject to Section 5, including scheduling during storm events and events beyond our reasonable control.
- Taxes and charges. Applicable taxes and any delivery fees stated in your Commitment are added to the locked price.
- End of the Commitment. The Commitment ends on the last day of the season it covers. Any other conditions (for example, minimum purchases or changes to the committed quantity) are those stated in your written Commitment, which controls if it differs from these Terms.
4. Products and quantities
We supply bulk rock salt for de-icing, including untreated rock salt and OnePass, a rock salt treated with a corrosion-inhibited magnesium chloride coating. Salt is a natural, imported material: color, grain size and moisture can vary from load to load and are not defects. Quantities are sold by weight as recorded on a certified scale, and the scale ticket is the basis for billing. You are responsible for choosing the quantity and product suitable for your use, and for following label and application guidance. Salt can damage concrete, vegetation, vehicles and metal surfaces; we are not responsible for damage caused by its application.
5. Delivery
- The minimum quantity for salt delivery is 20 tons per load. Smaller quantities are available for pickup at our yards.
- Delivery dates and times are estimates. Weather, storm demand, traffic, and vessel or supply timing can affect them, and during winter events deliveries may be prioritized or rescheduled.
- You must provide a safe, accessible drop location that can support a loaded tractor-trailer or dump truck, and tell us about any height, weight, slope or access restrictions.
- Our drivers may refuse to unload at a location they consider unsafe. Additional trips or waiting time may be charged.
- If you direct a truck onto a driveway, lot or property beyond the curb, you accept responsibility for any resulting damage to pavement, curbs, lawns, underground utilities or structures.
- You are responsible for any municipal permits needed to place material on a street or public right-of-way.
- Risk of loss passes to you when the salt is unloaded at your site.
6. Pickup at our yards
Pickup is available during posted hours (Monday–Friday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Saturday until 12:00 PM at select locations; closed Sunday. Hours may change during winter storm events.) at our salt locations:

Your vehicle must be rated for the load, will be weighed on our certified scale, and must leave with the load covered and secured as required by New York and New Jersey law. Our staff may refuse to load a vehicle that appears unsafe or overloaded. Risk of loss passes to you once the salt is loaded into your vehicle.
7. Cancellations and returns
You may cancel a scheduled delivery without charge before the truck is loaded or dispatched. Cancellations after loading or dispatch may be subject to fees. Because bulk salt cannot be resold once delivered, delivered or picked-up salt is generally not returnable.
8. Payment
The Site does not process payments. Payment terms are communicated to you when your order is confirmed.
9. Calls and text messages
By providing your phone number and opting in on the Site, you agree that Aden Salt Company may call and send text messages to that number about your request, quotes, orders, deliveries, account and, if you separately opt in, promotional offers. These may include messages sent with automated technology. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.
10. Email
If you submit a request, we may email you about it, your orders and deliveries and, where permitted, seasonal availability and offers. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time with the link in the email or by contacting us.
11. Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including the Aden Salt Company name and logo, text, photos, video and graphics, are owned by Aden or its licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute them without our written permission.
12. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites or services. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, policies or practices.
13. Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Information on the Site, including product descriptions, availability and service areas (North Jersey to the Catskills to Long Island), is general and may change. Nothing in these Terms limits any written warranty we give you in a signed agreement.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aden and its affiliates, officers, employees and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including lost profits, or for any delay or failure caused by weather, supply interruption or other events beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these may not apply to you in full.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aden and its affiliates, officers, employees and agents from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or inaccurate information you provide, including about your delivery location.
16. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date, and apply to your later use of the Site and to orders placed afterward.
